Job Objective: This position is responsible for supporting and keeping the network well maintained and functioning optimally. The LAN Administrator also functions to design and install new data communications as needed. A thorough knowledge of network operating systems is essential to the successful fulfillment of duties. Excellent communication, documentation, and follow-up skills are required. LAN Administrator is expected to coach less experienced technicians regarding the support of the network computing environment of Eisenhower Medical Center. This position also has responsibilities that include some basic PC and client application understanding, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Required Education: High School Diploma
Required Licensure/Certification: CCNA
Required Experience: 3-5 years as a network support technician
Preferred Education: Associates, Bachelor's Degree in IT or Computer Science
Preferred Licensure/Certification: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Wireless Network Security (CWNS), CWSP
Preferred Experience: 5 years supporting LAN hardware/software in a health care environment. Project Management experience also preferred.
