  • Job Objective:

    In collaboration with the Director, the Manager of Respiratory Care is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling the Respiratory Care Department operation. This position will focus on performance improvement goals, Quality Improvement and Assessment (QI/QA) budgetary goals, the evaluation and implementation of new modalities and products. clinical-diagnostic activities and workflow, care and maintenance of equipment, and education. This position is responsible for working with physicians, patients, and staff to maintain the high quality care Respiratory Care Services is recognized for. 


    The position actively participates in facility and system operations, collaborates with other disciplines and assists in the development and implementation of action plans.  Performs other duties as assigned.


    Education Required:

    Graduate of AMA or JCRTE approved program for Respiratory Therapy with a minimum of Associate Degree in Applied Sciences.


    Licensure/Certification Required:

    Registered Respiratory Therapist of the NBRC. Valid California State Licensure. Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association


    Experience Required:

    A minimum of six years of previous patient care delivery, including experiences with neonatal, pediatric, adult care, critical care, pulmonary function/diagnostics, and emergency care.  A minimum four years of supervisory or team leader experience.


    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:

    Basic word processing, spreadsheet computer skills

    Effective oral and written communication

    Proven leadership abilities
