  • Job Objective:

    A brief overview of      the position

     

    This position is responsible for scheduling all elective surgical procedures and for updating all cases the department processes in a timely manner.  Participates in the development of scheduling policies and procedures, schedule preparation, and entry of all data in the computer system.  Manages schedulers and case updaters. Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily inputting of patient charges, procedure case updates, and medical device tracking requirements. Acts as a liaison between Eisenhower Medical Center and physicians and their staff promoting a positive customer service oriented department. Oversees all functions of the HSM and PHS systems related to scheduling and case updating.

     Licensure/Certification

    Experience

    Required:

     

    Required:

    None

    Required:

    Three years of hospital or clinic experience.

    Two years of scheduling experience

    Preferred:

    CA RN LICENSE;  AS or Baccalaureate degree in business or other appropriate area.

    Preferred:

    CA RN License

     

    Preferred:

    Surgery Scheduling Supervisor or Manager experience.
