Job Objective: Under the direction of the Administrative Director, is responsible and accountable for the fiscal, clinical and personnel functions of individual department(s) on a 24-hour basis. Develops and utilizes mechanisms for directing, evaluating and controlling operational activities towards accomplishment of divisional effectiveness and efficiency. Responsible and accountable for developing, implementing, and integrating performance improvement plan into unit practice. Assures implementation and maintenance of departmental/hospital Policies, Procedures and Standards of Care. Assures all State and Federal laws are in compliance in areas of responsibility. Assures all JCAHO standards are followed in areas of responsibility.
Required Licensure/Certification: California Registered Nurse
Required Experience: 5 years clinical experience.
Preferred Education: BSN preferred
Preferred Experience: 2 years management experience.
