Job Objective: Under the daily direction of the Charge Nurse and Administrator, the Patient Care Technician has primary responsibility to assist professional staff in the checking in of patients, stocking of pre and post procedure supplies, updating the clinical logs, and in the preparation, set-up and turnover of cases. Assists professional staff with patient comfort, patient discharge and other direct patient care duties as directed. Assists with cleaning and preparation of scopes for sterilization. Is knowledgeable in the operation of the Steris. Assumes support responsibility for proper storage of equipment and restocking of supplies as required; checks supplies for outdates.
Education Preferred: High School
Licensure/Certification Required: Current CPR or within 90 days of employment.
Licensure/Certification Preferred: CNA
