Coordinates all activities related to the clinical documentation program. Educates physicians in appropriate documentation to accurately reflect patient severity of illness. Works closely with the HIM Coding Staff and Compliance Committee to establish proper documentation for accurate code assignment.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN required.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in acute care nursing required. Past experience in working with DRG/severity of illness/documentation program preferred.
