Under general direction of the Center Manager, performs scheduling, insurance verification, answers phones, coordinates patient admissions, and orders supplies for the behavioral health clinic. Exhibits the Values of F.I.R.S.T. (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).
EQUIPMENT USED/SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Data entry and calculator skills required. Excellent communication (written/verbal) skills a requirement. Uses personal terminals, copier, fax machine and computer printers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR EQUIVALENTS:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent, college degree preferred.
Experience: 2-3 years of previous registration, supervision, billing/coding, insurance verification or scheduling experience required, with knowledge of medical necessity, medical terminology and Meditech knowledge preferred.
