Working Conditions, Hazards and Physical Effort
For extended periods of time must be able to sit, walk, bend, stoop, or climb (step stool). Must be able to lift 10 pounds in weight above shoulder level for filing. Requires close mental and visual attention to details. Requires ability to concentrate for long periods of time while dealing with distractions. Stressful environment where variable workload must be completed with prescribed time frames using fixed staff resources. Must be able to read documents appropriately.
Minimum Qualifications or Equivalents
Education: High School or Vocational graduate is required.
Experience: One year of previous general office experience.
EQUIPMENT USED/SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Computers, fax machine, microfilm reader/printer. Demonstrated knowledge of filing systems. Good organization skills, with orientation to detail and accuracy; good oral and written communication skills; ability to relate effectively with the medical staff, ancillary departments, and business office staff.
