State Registered Nursing Assistant
Provides patient care under the direction of licensed staff and within the scope of defined practice. Uses selected medical terminology, reports and records data, and demonstrates caring behavior. Trained to do glucose testing per monitor under supervision and report to licensed staff. Responsible under direction of licensed staff for basic care of core measures for unit dashboard. Organizes care for assigned patients and completes assignment. Documents care delivered. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Certification as a State Registered Nursing Assistant is required. Must maintain 12 CEU’s on an annual basis. One-year experience preferred. Basic Life Support certification (successful completion within 3 months of employment). Risks exposure to disease, infection and physical strain, and assault. Risks exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, radiation and anti-neoplastic agents. Must be able to lift 50 lb. independently.
