Education:

Minimum:  High School graduate or equivalent

Preferred:

License/

Certifications:

Current BLS Certification OR obtained within 90days of hire

Experience:

Minimum:  Prior experience in a patient care setting

Preferred: Medical terminology education or experience; 1 year related experience

Other:

Minimum:  Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.  Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.  Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills. Computer literacy.  Must be willing and able to float to all units in the hospital based on health system needs.

Preferred:  Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical record
