Oversees small scale single and multi-prime construction projects. Assists other project managers in management of large capital improvement projects including document management and team coordination. Plans and coordinates assigned projects in collaboration with affected departments, contractors, architects and engineers. Ensures that all necessary facility design and construction documentation are in place to ensure that projects meet or exceed all appropriate healthcare regulatory, safety and infection control standards. Monitors project documentation to ensure continuous compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agency requirements. Tracks and reports project cost, schedules and status along with recommendations to keep projects on time and on budget. Ensure Interim Life Safety Code and Infection Control standards are maintained at all times and as required by The Joint Commission. Negotiates change orders and provides documentation to Administrative Director, Facility Services and PDC. Prepares, manages, purchases and organizes FF&E lists for assigned projects. Processes all requests for payment applications and invoices. Maintains current, up-to-date report of financial obligations for each project. Completes CON Progress reports as requested or required. Participates as FHC representative at routine and final inspections with local building and fire inspectors and DHSR inspectors.
Bachelor's Degree preferred. 3-5 years' experience in construction planning, budgeting or design required. Health care construction experience required. Certified Healthcare Contractor (CHC) certification or Project Management (PM) Certification preferred.
