As a health care system committed to improving the health of those we serve, we are asking our employees to model the same behaviors we promote to our patients. Beginning August 1, 2013, Aria Health will no longer hire individuals who use nicotine products, nicotine products including, but not limited to: cigarettes, cigars, pipes, chewing or smokeless tobacco.
Applicants will be screened for nicotine as part of the pre-employment physical process. Nicotine will be part of the urine drug screen. Applicants who test positive for nicotine will not be offered employment. Applicants who test positive may re-apply for jobs with Aria Health after a period of one year.
