Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for the provision of quality Nuclear Medicine examinations/procedures through direct patient contact.
- Administers radiopharmaceuticals producing Ionizing Radiation.
- Evaluates the extent and urgency of equipment malfunction incidents, makes recommendations for appropriate action to Radiology Director.
- Exercises judgement in modifying and adapting procedures according to the needs of the patient.
- Assumes call on a weekend and holiday rotation. Call hours are 8:00am to Noon.
Qualifications include: Successful completion of an approved curriculum in Nuclear Medicine Technology. Certification by the America Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(N), or certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (C.N.M.T.)
