Job Summary Provides general support to a specific area (Coding, Transcription, Equal Access) of the Medical Data Services Department and the manager that oversees that area. Assists the Departmental Secretary in her duties when needed.

Education/Experience:
High School Education or GED.
1-2 years experience in a medical records setting preferred.
Knowledge of Medical Terminology a plus.

Skills/Abilities:
Ability to organize and prioritize.
Ability to multi-task and with multiple software programs.
Ability to work in close quarters.
Ability to work with all office equipment - fax, copier, microfilm, etc.
Ability to comprehend the different specialties and their specific requirements for each area.

Licenses/Certificates/Registrations:
Registered Health Information Technician certification preferred.
