  • General Description:  Duties include answering telephones, greeting patients, updating and filing patients records, handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, arranging any other necessary services for the patient, assisting with billing,  update/reconcile patient medication, ensure family and social history are current, complete necessary authorizations for medication or testing, provide clinical justification in conjunction with provider for insurance, as well as some medical documentation for credentialing/licensure.  Responsible for Medication Refill Line, triaging patient calls for MD or NP.  Must demonstrate respect for patients and staff by presenting a consistent, friendly, and courteous manner at all times and maintaining patient confidentiality. Attend group and individual supervision as assigned.  Attend all staff meetings and monthly in-services.
  • Work Experience: Minimum two years' experience in a medical/behavioral health setting. .
  • Education RequirementMinimum Associates Degree. Work experience may be substituted for a degree.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and maneuvering within payer websites. Medical Assistant Certification required.
