JOB SUMMARY
Assist the Director and Teacher(s) in implementing learning activities of children according to the general guidelines of Piaget Discovery Curriculum.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required.

MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Prefer at least 1 year professional experience with children under 6 years of age and evidence of coursework in early education.

REQUIRED LICENSE, REGISTRY OR CERTIFICATION
Current First Aid and CPR certification is required to be kept current. New employees must obtain CPR certification within three months of hire. Must attend a minimum of two educational workshops per year or of credits of continuing education per state requirements.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED
Ability to work with young children. Must have patience, energy, compassion and a sense of humor. Will be required to change diapers and lift children.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIY
Understanding of a child care setting and the potential risks that come from not following proper procedures concerning bodily fluids and sanitary precautions.
