- Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Services Assistant works under the general supervision of the Housekeeping Services Group Leader and is responsible for the cleaning and disinfecting of patient and non-patient areas, prepares rooms for incoming patients and performs other duties as assigned. Responsible for linen processing.
No prior experience or training.
Registration/Certification or License Required:
Housekeeping in Hospital or office setting.
Management Experience (If applicable):
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to push or pull on a wheeled device up to 500 lbs.
Prolonged standing/walking in excess of 8 hours a day.
Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and kneeling.
No allergic reaction to cleaning or finishing solvents.
Must be able to read work instructions and effectively communicate with all patients during high volume shifts.
