The Clerical Assistant answers the phone and directs callers to the appropriate person/department; greets patients; sets appointments for the patients; . Assists with insurance verification, insurance verification procedures, collection of copays, posts payments and manages medical record files.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
General working knowledge of and ability to use office machines, including computers.
Registration/Certification or License Required:
Management Experience (if applicable):
Lift 10 lbs. box overhead.
Lift and carry 15 lbs.
Push/pull 20 lbs.
Occasional standing, walking.
Occasional twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling.
Frequent keyboard use.

Additional qualifications for this specific opening: Position is for data entry for LHP General Surgery. This is a Temporary Position - will only work as needed by the department to complete a project. Hours and shifts will vary. Position will end once project has been completed.
