The Human Resources Director position directs the planning, development, implementation and administration of all human resources programs, including recruitment, termination, compensation and benefits, employee relations, EEO and organizational development.  The Human Resources Director advises management staff regarding policy and program matters, and develops human resources practices and policies that promote a high performing workplace.

  • Bachelor’s degree required in business or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in progressive human resources department
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification required
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a management position

Responsibilities & Oversight
  • Develop, manage and implement recruitment strategies, procedures and processes
  • Develop and monitor short and long term departmental expense budgeting and organizational planning
  • Ensure legal compliance in the development and consistency of organization-wide policies, procedures and practices
  • Manage annual performance appraisal system, merit increase program and incentive plan
  • Develop and administer compensation and benefits programs to include working directly with outside compensation consultants and the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors
  • Develop, oversee and/or present training and motivational programs and events to maintain high morale
  • Provide direct or indirect leadership of staff wellness and morale committees
  • Provide direct supervision of the Human Resources Generalist and the Executive Assistants

  • Must be adaptable to changing environment and have the ability to handle multiple requests and tasks
  • Display proficiency in oral and written communication including strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with others individually and in groups
  • Strong patient and internal customer service focus
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive matters
  • Demonstrate strong ethical behavior
  • Variable schedule to include occasional evening or weekend hours
