This individual will be responsible for Developing, implementing, and executing marketing strategies and plans to achieve Strategic Business Unit annual and long-term goals while promoting and maintaining the brand image at local/regional levels. This position will coordinate the marketing strategies including budgets, advertising and promotion of the brand though developing associated advertising campaigns. Applies various communication strategies to create an impression, raise awareness, and encourage a preference and response by the target audience for the organization and its products, services, and brands. Establishes policy and direction for department, and is accountable for department results. Other key elements of this position include:

·         Acts with a sense of urgency regarding key communications affecting brand and market presence.

·         Protects the brand of IU Health through guidance and use of social media, written word, traditional media and verbal communications.

·         Responsible for the environmental scan to ensure positive brand for the organization and notification to key stakeholders of findings.

·         Responsible for the response to community, facility, and media events and situations to ensure key messaging for Board, Leadership, and team members in a timely manner.

·         Prepares and finalizes presentations and speeches of leadership and others representing IU Health for the SCR.

·         When possible, ensures all key events, actions, and recognitions of the organization have a detailed plan for communication prior to their occurrence.


  • Bachelors Degree Required. Masters Preferred.
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Requires 7-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires 3+ years of direct supervisory leadership experience in a healthcare-related industry.
  • Requires leadership experience in a matrix organization and complex work environment.
  • Requires knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local regulatory agency guidelines and laws.
