We currently have an opening for a Biomedical Equipment Technician II.
*Demonstrates ability to repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instrumentation and equipment.
*Performs preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing of clinical equipment, devices, and systems.
*Diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunctions.
*Maintain accurate documentation on new equipment, inspections, and equipment repairs and failures.
*Provide technical assistance and instruction on equipment operation and maintenance to clinical staff.
*Review outcome of preventive maintenance actions and make recommendations to department staff concerning outcomes.
*Provide mentoring to other biomedical equipment technicians.
*Assist senior biomedical equipment technicians or leads with in-service educational programs on equipment use.
*High School Diploma
*Professional training/degree in Biomedical Engineering preferred
*Three years biomedical technician experience required
Must posses biomedical and clinical experience with strong troubleshooting skills in the surgical arena. Have abilities to assist nursing staff and physicians with equipment and instrumentation and evaluate proper and safe usage. Anesthesia training on Aestiva ventilator systems a plus. This position requires strong communication skills, and ability to perform in busy OR environment.
