The goal of Lakeland University is to provide quality healthcare and development education, training and knowledge management for clinical and non-clinical associates and leaders across Lakeland Regional Health System (LRHS).
Under the direction of the Director of Lakeland University, the Manager of Lakeland University determines needs, organizes system wide training initiatives, develops curriculum, supports numerous special projects and manages both delivery of training and University operations. The Manager leads and completes these efforts consistent with LRHS’s mission and strategies, while operating in a fast-pace, team-oriented environment. Creates a culture of excellence by ensuring that staff meet or exceed mandatory requirements for clinical and professional skills including annual in-service, certification, system utilization goals, service and quality improvement initiatives, and educational advancement goals. Assess and analyze developmental needs and training gaps to drive training initiatives. Prioritize learning needs to balances short- and long-term cycles, resource constraints and anticipate impact to the system.
BSN or equivalent healthcare degree required. Master’s degree in Education, Organizational Development, or training and development required. Master's degree in Nursing or equivalent preferred. Clinical experience in healthcare required. Requires a minimum of three to five years’ experience in adult learning and management, preferably in a health care environment. Two to three years of management experience. Must possess a high degree of interpersonal skills necessary for consultation, group dynamics, motivation and facilitation in order to interact effectively with a diverse and extensive group of internal/external contacts. Must have the ability to use innovative approaches to education, be able to respond to organizational needs in a short period of time and work under pressure and tight deadlines. Must be proficient in current technology (e.g., EXCEL, POWER POINT, WORD, SharePoint, social networks, Learning Management Systems, video learning, etc.)
