Performs duties related to the preparation of financial statements. Keeps the records of all equipment purchased, transferred, and disposed. Coordinates all data and records of purchase/ deletions, and records all activities. Provides accurate input and control of employee data: rates, status, deductions, and hours; responsible for cash disbursements relating to payroll function and for preparation and distribution of payroll checks. Coordinates preparation of payroll reports, long term disability, sickness and accident, group health insurance and unemployment compensation. Provides control of transferred salaries and man-hours between departments and/or various corporations. Prepares payroll bank account reconciliations. Responsible for all areas of accounts payable to assure timely payment to vendors, following accounting standards and internal control procedures.
High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree or equivalent combination of training and/or experience required. Previous accounting experience of six months required. Must possess good communication skills. Work requires good level of computer skill and analytical ability. Must be highly competent in Excel.
