Provide patient safety & care based on the current standards of rehabilitation nursing practice process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Collaborate with health care professionals according to diagnosis and patient care needs, reporting critical test results to them in a timely manner, while communicating regularly with Team members regarding treatment goals. Document patient care timely and accurately, participate in Charge Nurse rotation. Function as the patient’s advocate during their rehabilitation experience. Provide exceptional service excellence in accordance with published standards to co-workers, and patient. Assist with rehabilitation procedures delivering care to the patient.
Ability to organize, prioritizes, manages time, while maintaining an on-going knowledge and competency of all equipment and instrumentation. Communicate effectively during patient transfer providing care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of the Hospitals five star standard. Performs other duties as assigned by manager within the scope of service.
Must possess a current Michigan Registered Nurse Licensure. Current BLS certification. Must be in good physical and mental health. Must have ability to cope with physical and mental stress. Must have the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Previous Rehabilitation experience preferred. CRRN desired. Proven ability to be proactive with respect to patient needs and issues; and ability to deal with emergent issues, multiple projects, and patients simultaneously. Detail orientated, persistent and helpful in bringing together the resources to successfully get the job done.
