The Administrative Secretary is responsible for supporting a variety of Medical Staff, Clinical Quality Analyst, Medical Staff Coordinator and Performance Support department activities. Coordinates and schedules meetings. Maintains administrative and medical staff files. Performs a variety of clerical functions, including minute taking, letter writing, data entry and information gathering.
High school diploma/GED required, associate degree in business or secretarial courses preferred. A knowledge of medical staff protocols, procedures, and terminology also preferred. Must have excellent reading and writing skills, including letter writing, grammar, proof reading and word processing. Healthcare experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact in an effective manner with hospital personnel and medical staff. Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail. Ability to compose minutes and simple correspondence with minimal supervision.
