Responsible to perform a variety of administrative, inventory tasks to support patient charges and case cart maintenance and/or maintain inventory in CP and the OR. Demonstrates a commitment to the achievement of quality health care services by maintaining safety, privacy, confidentiality, and “customer relations” philosophy. Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and development by participation in mandatory in-services, staff meetings, and educational programs for improvement of self as a professional to maintain competency. Adheres to the philosophy and objectives of Lakeland 5 Star Service Standards. Participates in economical utilization of supplies, utilities, and equipment.
High School diploma or GED. Educational courses with an emphasis in mathematics, business, medical terminology, anatomy, and computer literacy preferred. Prior experience in Materials Management, Central Processing, and Surgery preferred. Must possess skills to interact effectively with all levels of personnel in and outside of the department and various external contacts. Perform a variety of functions on the computer to set-up, maintain, and analyze data that relates to inventory management and supports the case cart system. Ability to prioritize and schedule his/her own workload on a daily basis and to work independently and without continuous supervision.
