Assistant works under close supervision, following established procedures. Counts, records, and places processed linen on linen carts for distribution to linen using departments. Delivers linen requests per telephone requests. Responsible for weekly linen inventories. Committed to the continuous improvement of the patient experience which includes patient safety, quality of care and excellent service. Provides professional clothing labeling for the resident's personal clothing and laundry service for the resident's personal clothing.
High School diploma or G.E.D preferred. Ability to read at an 8th grade level and perform mathematical computations at a 6th grade level, as documented by successfully passing a math and reading test. Verbal & written communications with all using departments and contract laundry service to take & place orders or to answer questions. Must recognize and resolve shortage or out of stock situations. Must react and resolve linen requirements as census changes or STAT requests are made. Work requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, and pushing carts 100% of the time.
