Perform audits and education of individual patient account documentation, which may result from internal or external requests. Schedules, messages, and specifically handles issues of a clinical nature (including medication requests). Mentors LPNs and MAs and develops the program in the CSC for clinical calls. Participates as a resource, liaison and substitute teacher for the Nurse Aid program at Coloma High School.
Current nursing licensure to practice as Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan required. Bachelor’s degree preferred or previous experience that demonstrates leadership skills normally acquired through higher education. Minimum of 3 years of clinical (RN) experience required, preferably in a physician practice. If a LPN, required to have 5 years hospital/clinic experience minimum with 10 years of experience preferred that includes hospital and clinic experience. Previous healthcare third party payer experience preferred. Previous charge auditing experience preferred. Prior experience providing group education and/or in-services, as well as prior experience leading process improvement initiatives preferred. Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (or become certified within 3 months of hire/transfer and maintain).
