Plans, directs and evaluates the functions associated with Operations, Help Desk and Field Engineers, maintaining a full 24-hour, seven day a week support operation for the entire organization. Responsibilities include monitoring system response time, resources, and downtime, ensuring system availability and security, controlling access, evaluating Operations, Help Desk and Field Engineer effectiveness, ensuring and documenting processes and ensuring satisfactory customer responses. Work involves directing a staff and coordinating department functions with other managers/directors within Information Services, as well as other departmental managers within Lakeland.
High School Degree required. College degree preferred. 3 to 5 years of operations support experience. Knowledge of micro, mini and AS/400 computer platforms along with understanding of LAN/WAN and computer communications environments. Knowledge of microcomputer software especially in a business environment. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
