Under the direction of departmental management and following established techniques and procedures, performs various functions of a Project nature to maintain all the facilities of Lakeland HealthCare in an aesthetic and sanitary condition. Uses good personal hygiene and grooming habits. Dresses to meet departmental dress code and consistently utilizes appropriate safety practices. Strips and refinishes resilient floors and corridors using established techniques and procedures, maintains carpeted floors, performs wall washing, cubicles curtain changing, drapery changing, furniture cleaning of (upholstered) items, vent cleaning, ceiling and window cleaning. Arranges furnishings and sets up for meetings.
High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Ability to read at an 8th grade level and perform mathematical computations at a 6th grade level, as documented by successfully passing a math and reading test. Minimum of 6 months customer service experience preferred. Must have experience to achieve proficiency with various procedures, techniques, and chemicals as they relate to floor finishing, and wall washing. Must have physical dexterity to operate heavy equipment including buffers, floor scrubbers, large vacuums and desk mover upholstery cleaner. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build cooperative working relationships with all staff members, patient families, and visitors required. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision. Involves constant walking, pushing or pulling. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, bending, etc. while performing daily duties. Involves lifting between 50-500 pounds with the proper equipment.
