This position provides service to visitors and employees through food preparation, in accordance with State and Federal regulatory standards. The individual is responsible for serving food products using safe and sanitary food handling practices while maintaining equipment/work areas as directed. The staff member will provide service at a level that meets or exceeds the expectations of our customers, visitors and other LRHS associates. Responsibilities will include waiting tables, serving food, busing tables, doing dishes, stocking/helping with prep work, making drinks and ice cream orders. Maintains line and work stations, assuring stations are clean, stocked, and that proper sanitation is observed in the prescribed manner.
High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Ability to read at an 8th grade level and perform mathematical computations at a 6th grade level as documented by successfully passing a math and reading test. Minimum 6 months customer service or food service experience or related field or equivalent combination of training and/or experience required. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build cooperative working relationships with all staff members, patient families, and visitors required. Strong communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment required.
