ARDMS Registered or Eligible
Basic Function: Proficient at all functions required to schedule, perform and process echo and vascular ultrasound examinations. Provides professional technical supportive care and comfort measures and performs echo/vascular ultrasound procedures on infants (birth to 1 year), children (1 year to 12 years), adolescents (12 years to 17 years, adults (18 years to 65 years), and geriatric (over 65 years). Possess a strong knowledge of Echo and Vascular sonography and exceptional skills in obtaining images, critical thinking and building reports for interpretation by MD. The job responsibilities will include oversight of Echo and Vascular accreditation, assessment of technical quality of studies performed and mentoring staff, in addition to providing direct instruction and guidance to echo and vascular sonographers. Provide group training to staff and develop education based on set competencies. Will also remain competent in Echo and Vascular Sonography by routinely scanning patients. Minimum Qualifications: · Proficient at all functions required to schedule, perform and process echo and vascular ultrasound examinations. · Graduation from a formal program or 2 years' experience to either echocardiography and/or vascular sonography. · Certified in CPR or certified within 3 months of employment. · Registered (ARDMS or CCI) in Echocardiography and Vascular Technology. · Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Possesses excellent understanding of medical terminology. · Approved by the Medical Director of his designee to independently perform studies at this institution.
