Public Relations Specialist
The Public Relations Specialist will assist with all aspects of the public relations and communications efforts of the Health Systems, with a strong focus on writing, editing and design work. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: management of online media including Web site and social media, writing, editing and designing publications, articles, press releases, advertisements, brochures, newsletters, and direct mail pieces. This position also requires assistance at community events.
Prefer a four-year degree in English or Journalism with concentration in communications and writing. Minimum of two years of writing, graphic design, and social media coordination experience required, in addition to an excellent command of the English language, strong grammatical and editing skills and oral communication skills. Previous health care experience is a plus. Must demonstrate competency with computer software, including word processing, publication design, and photography. Candidates with skills in Microsoft Office, InDesign and Photoshop are preferred.
