- High School/GED
The EEG Technician operates electroencephalographs to record impulse frequencies and differences in electrical potential between various areas of the brain disorders,attaches electrodes to specified positions on patients head and manipulates selector switches to obtain tracings to detect waves which indicate brain disorders and marks traces caused by outside interferences; prepares test report and types doctor's report.
- High School graduate. Education and formal training required
- 1-2 years experience preferred
- AMA approved courses relative to EEG are desired.
- Experience required six months to a year. Experience in lieu of formal education is acceptable
