The Registered Nurse delivers care to Adult and Geriatric patients by utilizing the nursing process and nursing standards of practice. The nurse maintains competency and applies scientific knowledge utilizing evidence based practice necessary to meet patient needs. Demonstrates progression of professional development and is supportive of the hospital’s mission, vision and values.
Graduate from an accredited or approved school of nursing.
One year of medical surgical or critical care experience required. Critical care or ED course preferred for CCU/ ER.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and (ED only) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and /or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification required.
CPI and team restraints required for all areas within six (6) months of hire .
Employee must commit to working four (4) shift every four (4) weeks 12 hours or 8 hour shifts, one weekend shift of your usual shift length, eight (8 )or twelve (12) hours and one (1) summer one (1) winter holiday.
