Promotes a coordinated, inter-disciplinary working relationship with physicians, nursing staff and other members of the health care team. Provides clinical leadership, serving as a role model for the CardioPulmonary/PT staff by assessing, planning, coordinating and evaluating patient care activities. Is responsible for the clinical practice of CardioPulmonary/PT which includes hiring of new personnel and upgrading the knowledge and skill level of the CardioPulmonary/PT staff. The Director has 24 hour accountability for the quality of care delivered to these areas. Insures a comfortable, orderly and safe environment conducive to good patient care in compliance with physician orders, hospital and departmental policies. Instructs and evaluates all levels of assigned personnel.
Creates a safe, therapeutic environment that respects the rights of all patients and provides treatment interventions appropriate for the age, developmental status, culture, spiritual beliefs and sexual orientation of each patient.
Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy,Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology,Doctorate strongly preferred
One to three years management experience.
Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Credentialed by the American College of Cardiology Associates (AACC) or Cardiology Credentialing International (CCI).
An active member of AACC/CCI.
