- Minimum 1 year experience preferred
Operates and maintains boilers and other auxiliary equipment necessary for producing steam for heat and power for the hospital. Observes various meters and gauges and takes appropriate action for safe operation. Starts, stops, and switches over boiler as appropriate. Cleans and repairs boilers, blow tubes, and discharge sediment; regulates feed water and condensation pumps and lubricates pump equipment. Cleans inside of boiler walls and repairs and/or replaces broken or worn parts. Tests boiler and cooling tower water samples; assigns proper chemical treatment to boiling and cooling waters.
Valid Maine Boiler Operator License required.
Valid Driver's License required.
Technical training beyond high school preferred.
1 year experience preferred.
