Occupational Therapist I - Weekends

Assumes responsibility for evaluating patients' need for Occupational Therapy. Plans and executes individual treatment programs in accordance with the laws and regulations of the State of Michigan. Keeps treatment skills updated through continuing education, research, and program development. Essential Job Qualifications: graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited Occupational Therapy program; certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy; registration with the State of Michigan; possesses and maintains CPR certification to meet department/program protocol; and the physical ability to lift, position, and transport patients with physical impairments. Preferred Job Qualifications: active participation in AOTA and MiOTA.
Prefer candidates with inpatient or outpatient rehab experience with spinal cord injury, brain injury or stroke populations. Flexible hours, but position would include every Saturday + Sunday, plus weekday coverage, PRN. Hours would be 20+ per week. (Weekends could be 8 to 10-hour days, per candidate availability/preference; weekday hours anticipated to occur on Wednesday mornings, plus additional weekdays, PRN).
Candidates should be flexible, reliable, and demonstrate excellent team skills, including great communication & collaboration with primary therapists regarding patient status, needs & goals. Must embrace Mary Free Bed's exceptional customer service standards.
