Manages multiple units/work groups within the Central Business Office. Responsible for managing portions of the accounts receivable. Ensures all activity is in compliance with department policy, HIPAA, and all other regulatory requirements and laws related to Billing and Collection activities. Collaborates with other members of management and other departments in providing for consistent reliable fiscal responsibility as it relates to billing and reimbursement for services rendered. Ensures activities of their units lead to optimal reimbursement of claims and expedited cash flow while making a positive impact on patient satisfaction.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, healthcare administration or a related discipline. Eight years of related experience may substitute for degree.
Experience: Minimum three years experience in healthcare billing and collections or closely related field. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Certification/License/Registration: CPAR within two years of obtaining position.
