Provides direct supervision to Patient Account Specialists in the OBOP, Anderson Health Center, and EMS. Accountable for accurate and timely registration and cash/charge posting. Monitors quality performance and productivity standards for personnel by reviewing completed work and insuring compliance to divisional standards. Works closely with the Quality Control group to ensure monitoring, timely correction and action related to the accurate scheduling and registrations. Develops, implements and monitors monthly goals for staff members and documents progress. Ensures all dealings with the public are in a professional. Positive, well organized and motivated individual capable of motivating others to positive outcomes. Serves as a point of contact and resource for departmental customers in the various service areas. Projects and exemplifies the team concept to all employees and be a mentor to all employees. React quickly to changes and provide leadership and mentoring to staff to ensure changes can be accomplished.
Education: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor Degree preferred
Experience: 5 years of experience in Business, Healthcare, Insurance, Financial, or related field. Education may be substituted for experience at a ratio 1:2.
Certification/License/Registration: CPAR, CHAA, FC or Patient Access Certification required within 2 years.
