VCU Health System's Anatomic Pathology Core Lab is seeking a full time Transcriptionist. Their primary function will be to transcribe dictated medical information from physicians, mid-level providers, residents and/or fellows in a timely and accurate manner; proofread and edit transcriptions and return the transcribed reports/results for review, signature, or correction; and performs a variety of clerical support activities which may include filing, recordkeeping, answering telephones, mailing, etc.
Performs daily transcription and clerical support activities with minimal supervision.
Communicates with physicians, mid-level providers, residents and/or fellows regarding transcription.

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two (2) years of transcription work experience to include one (1) year specifically in medical transcription
Previous experience with medical terminology and Microsoft applications
Post High School secretarial or health care related coursework
Three (3) years of medical transcription work experience
