Meadville Medical Center is hiring for Physical Therapy Senior Team Leader job to work Full-Time Day/Evening shifts with weekend rotations in our Physical Therapy Department. 

He/She will provide professional physical therapy service by performing evaluations, establishing treatment programs and administering PT procedures to patients in the areas of inpatient/outpatient, birth to geriatrics. 

Physical Therapy Senior Team Leader Education and Experience Requirements:

·         Must have a degree in physical therapy from an approved school

·         Must hold a license for physical therapy in the state of Pennsylvania with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience

·         Must be able to communicate and exchange information effectively

·          Analytical skills and organizational skills necessary to develop and implement a plan for physical therapy care appropriate to the unique needs of the patient

·         Ability to concentrate, plan, prioritize and react calmly and perform as a professional physical therapist to resolve patient care problems, interact with patient's families and other team members, in occasional stressful situations

Physical Therapy Senior Team Leader Job Duties:

·         Mentor and educate the PTA staff in regards to proper exercise technique and form, manual therapy techniques, treatment set ups, advancement of resistance exercises, documentation, open line communication with PT's, monitoring of script end dates and G code reassessment dates

·         Monitoring daily schedules of PTA's from productivity standard

·         Monitoring and prioritizing the new patient referral wait list

·         Monitoring for HIPAA compliance by PT staff

·         Communication with PT Manager and OC's regarding need for PT extended hours to limit wait list

·         Scheduling lunch and learn in-services at Vernon Place presented by PT staff and/or OAM staff

·         Monitoring late pm schedule to ensure that at least two staff members are present during patient treatment times

Physical Therapy Senior Team Leader Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

·         Physical ability to perform occasional heavy lifting, extensive or considerable periods of standing and walking; position, push, pull and/or transfer patients and equipment

·         Requires occasional squatting, reaching, bending, lifting supplies, equipment and patients

·          Must be able to respond in an emergency

·         Patient care environment, inside climate controlled environment with little exposure to excessive noise and dust

·         Occasional exposure to variations in temperature with moist heat and cold packs, exposure to electrical appliances

·         May be subject to patient care activities, occasional exposure to communicable diseases

·         May be required to deal with patient elements
