Hours: 0700-1530, 1500-2330, 12 hour shift option
Job Details:

Meadville Medical Center is hiring for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) job to work part-time days/evenings with weekend rotation. He/She will assist the Professional Nurse and the Practical Nurse with the daily routine and functions of the Nursing Units by the completion of both indirect and direct resident care activities. Provides resident care under direction of the Med/Surg Licensed Practical Nurse and the Med/Surg Charge Nurse.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Education and Experience Requirements:

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Completion of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program and/or currently on the Nurse Aide Registry in good standing

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Good communication skills

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Ability to interact with residents, families, and others often during stressful situations

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]--> Ability to independently make frequent rounds, lift residents, position residents, transport residents, provide treatment and maintain resident safety and comfort

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]--> Must be able to respond to an emergency, i.e. codes and/or combative residents.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Lifting, reaching, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling, manual dexterity

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Ability to see and hear with or without mechanical aides

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Ability to lift, push or pull a minimum of 50 pounds

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Normal resident care environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, and temperature changes

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Subject to certain distasteful resident care activities, exposure to communicable disease, and exposure to combative residents

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->May be exposed to potential hazards such as chemical wastes, body wastes, fluids and other possible infectious material.
