Coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
Graduate from an accredited nursing program with subsequent licensure in the state of Michigan. Must have current BCLS certification.
Must have passed NLN Basic Proficiency in Medication Administration Examination administered by Mercy Memorial Hospital education department. One to two years experience in medical/surgical nursing. Must have one year of psychiatric nursing experience to be the primary RN of the assigned shift. Basic computer skills such as hospital patient care systems, word, excel or the ability to learn such.
