Your Job:

The Director of Project Deployment Office provides leadership and direction for Methodist Health System to effectively identify, prioritize, plan and execute improvement projects throughout the enterprise to deliver successful and sustainable results, in an effort to drive improvement and diffusion across the entire system.

Your Job Requirements:

  • Master's degree in healthcare, business or related field
  • Seven (7) or more years; of which a minimum of two (2) years must be in a multi-hospital health system.
  • Minimum of five (5) years similar healthcare experience and four (4) years quality, performance improvement experience required; including a demonstration of progressive leadership responsibility.
  • Strong working knowledge of a wide variety of performance improvement tools and techniques, dashboards, and data collection tools. Ability to research, synthesize and apply best practices to inform stakeholders
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification or similar certification required (active or within 18 months of hire). Clinical Licensure preferred, CPHQ preferred.
  • Proficient in project management tools and techniques including project planning, performance metrics, deployment, sustainability and diffusion.
  • Broad-based knowledge of the continuum of patient care.

Your Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and manage a project funnel to focus organizational efforts on improvement activities that have the greatest opportunity to improve performance on organizational goal associated metric to align with Methodist Health System's strategic pillars, mission and vision (both clinical and operational).
  • Standardize the project life cycle for Methodist Health System and establish reliable deployment and diffusion infrastructure to reduce variation, improve reliability and improve outcomes related to all chosen projects; create and manage deployment plans for prioritized improvement project work systems across the enterprise; to include projects initiated thought the Mayo Clinic Care Network affiliation (MCCN).
  • Collaborates with both corporate and local executives and leadership teams on opportunities for improvement to reduce variation and improve reliability across Methodist Health System while providing guidance and support for SOG and SEM chartered Task Forces and Committees to ensure reliable use of standardized tool for project deployment from project initiation through sustainability and diffusion.
  • Responsible for working in conjunction with various departments and Methodist subject matter experts from leadership, quality, supply chain, health information management, clinical informatics, nursing, medical staff and other staff to oversee and coordinate the development and implementation of the MCCN processes by utilizing all of the associate tools optimally.
  • Leads, guides and directs the activities of Project Leader to ensure projects are completed on-time and that milestones and deliverables are met; coaches, mentors and develops Project Manager/Leader team in principles of leadership, change management, communication and accountability to promote creation of a high-performing team.
