Your Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Preference of degree to be in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 5 years or more experience

Your Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Interior Designer, Project Managers and Architect
  • Manages project scopes, pre-design planning and construction processes for all new construction projects
  • Develops project budgets and ensures adherence to same as projects develop.
  • Coordinates architect, engineer and construction personnel selection according to System policies
  • Writes Requests for Proposals and coordinates the selection of design professionals and construction contractors through the competitive bidding process
  • Reviews proposals and assists with ranking according to established criteria
  • Presents recommendations to Steering Committees for projects
  • Participates in planning meetings with design professionals and hospital staff
  • Conducts regular reviews of schematic design drawings, design development drawings and construction documents
  • Develops timelines and critical path scheduling, including phasing when necessary
  • Personally visits job sites and communicates progress
  • Reviews applications for payment from contractors and change order requests and presents recommendations
  • Coordinates walk-thru inspections as required
  • Assists in the development of punch lists and oversees successful completion
  • Coordinates project completion, collection of close-out documents and processing of final payments
  • Coordinates with other Methodist Health System departments to ensure hospital needs are being met
  • Participates in professional growth opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned.
