Your Job:

In this highly technical, fast-paced, and rewarding position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for patients. Under the direction of the Supervisor of Noninvasive Cardiology, the Echocardiographer Tech Coordinator performs all echocardiograms to include 2D, M-Mode, Color Doppler, Pulse Wave Doppler, Continuous Wave Doppler, Transesophageal Echocardiograms and other related examinations according to established standards and practices.

Your Job Requirements:
  • Completion of 12 month full time (35 hours/week) clinical echocardiography experience performing echocardiograms plus one of the following: Completions of a formal two year CAAHEP or CMA program or equivalent in another allied health profession; or completion of a bachelor's degree unrelated to a CAAHEP/CMA accredited program or a bachelor's degree in sonography, vascular technology or a minor in some aspect of ultrasound which is not CAAHEP accredited to offer echocardiography.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Possess an MD, DO degree or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of an ultrasound or cardiovascular technology program which includes verified didactic and supervised clinical experience in echocardiography.
  • The Technical Director must document at least 30 hours of echocardiography related continuing education over a period of three years, where all hours are relevant to echocardiography
  • ACLS preferred
  • Certified cardiopulmonary tech with 1 year experience
  • Current BLS required
