Your Job:

The Manager Chaplaincy Services manage the services of the Pastoral Care Department at an assigned Methodist Mansfield Medical Center (MMMC) campus ensuring the highest quality spiritual care to the patients, families and staff of the hospital.

 Your Job Requirements:

  •   ACPE Certified Educator required.
  • 5 years chaplaincy experience in a hospital setting

 Your Job Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain pastoral and prophetic presence (through visibility, availability, dialog, prayers, etc.) to the Methodist Mansfield Medical Center staff, patients and families
  • Manage all decedent care responsibilities at MMMC
  • Develop a ministerial alliance that meet quarterly for the purpose of community relationships.
  • Facilitate Clinical Ethics referrals.
  • Develop and maintain standards and documentation for JCAHO on patient rights.
  • Ensure the delivery of a complete program of pastoral care to patients, their families, and staff of all faith traditions by maintaining a pastoral and prophetic presence in Methodist Mansfield Medical Center
  • Manage all decedent care responsibilities at MMMC
  • Facilitate Clinical Ethics referrals
  • Co-supervise Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) students/residents at MHS with other supervisors at MHS. Participate in CPE at local, regional and national levels.
  • Co-facilitate with other chaplains special programs and projects appropriate to the overall ministry and goals of MHS
  • Works with Director of Pastoral Services and Manager of CPE to ensure program compliance with ACPE standards and accreditation
  • Works with chaplains to recruit qualified CPE interns and residents and serves as clinical administrator for chaplain residents and interns
  • Develop and monitor MMMC Pastoral Services budget
