Directly reports to the Foundation President

Job PurposeResponsible for enhancing the Foundation's direction, efficiency, information and performance through direction of the Foundation's (1) Operations, (2) Finance/Accounting, (3) Human Resources, and (4) Internal Communications.

Your Job Requirements:

Bachelor or applicable work experience 

Experience/familiarity with basic office accounting processes, budget development and tracking, financial statement principals and fund transfer procedures. Preferable to have advanced Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of Raiser's Edge.

Your Job Responsibilities:

  • Operations: Oversee the process for attainment and maintenance of all appropriate equipment, furniture, software, supplies, and storage required by the Foundation's operations.
  • Finance/Accounting: Coordinate for the Foundation, in liaison with the MHS Finance Department and the Foundation President; the development and preparation of the annual budget, and monthly reports on budget variances.
  • Finance/Accounting: Responsible for the tracking and reporting of monthly Financial Reports, and resulting strategic issues/opportunities.
  • Finance/Accounting: Responsible for the monthly preparation of the Foundation Dash Board – tracking key priorities and actual results vs. goals.  
  • Finance/Accounting: Responsible for the Foundation's "Fund Management" processes – including the receipt, recording, depositing of all gifts and donations to the Foundation, and reviewing and overseeing all aspects of the Foundation's processes in the distribution of funds to various MHS units/programs. Also, the Director of Operations will coordinate with the MHS Finance liaison the monthly preparation and presentation of the Foundation's "Funds Available to Distribute" information.
  • Human Resources: Coordinate, along with the MHS HR liaison and Foundation President, all of the processes related to personnel issues, i.e., budgeting, additions to staff, posting for new hires, interviews, compensation and title adjustments, job descriptions, etc.
  • Internal Communications: Coordinate with the Foundation President to provide all supporting internal reporting to inform and support the activities of the Foundation staff. Includes the development and maintenance of all Foundation policies and procedures
  • Supervisor for one staff: Coordinator of Data Management (Raiser's Edge, etc).
  • Supports Foundation Team projects: Events, mailers, etc.
