Methodist Charlton Medical Center is seeking a Director of Quality Services to join its Team.

Primary Function:

The Director of Quality Services is responsible for conducting assessments of medical staff and hospital quality identifying opportunities for improved patient safety, clinical quality, and operation performance and facilitating processes to prioritize and act upon improvement priorities. The Director of Quality Services will incorporate the risk management program, clinical and operational benchmarking systems, patient safety program, infection control and prevention, regulatory organizations' quality/patient safety requirements, and Joint Commission readiness in the assessment, prioritization and improvement initiatives. The Director of Quality Services will be responsible for communicating and reporting medical staff and hospital performance related to quality, risk management and patient safety to the medical staff, hospital staff, and administration. The Director is responsible for assuring the data required for submission to meet regulatory requirement is valid, reliable, accurate and timely. The Director will be responsible for coordinating efforts to maintain organizational compliance with Joint Commission standards related to medical staff, performance improvement and national patient safety goals.


  • Bachelors degree required. Masters or equivalent experience required. Bachelors in health profession.

Licenses and/or Certification required:

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, Risk Management, or Infection Control preferred. If basic education relates to a licensed health profession, license must current.

Related Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a Director of Quality Services
  • Experience must include department responsibility for risk management, medical staff/hospital quality, or infection control for at least 3 years.
